No dia 15 de agosto foi realizada a 3ª Reunião Ordinária do Grupo de Trabalho Técnico (GTT) do Fundo de Cooperação Brasil-China para análise preliminar de projetos. Com base nas informações atuais, foi alcançado consenso positivo entre os membros do GTT chinês e brasileiro. O resultado da 3ª Reunião Ordinária poderá representar um investimento total de US$ 4 bilhões em infraestrutura, caso aprovado por potenciais financiadores após sua análise de viabilidade econômico-financeira.

On August 15th, the 3rd Regular Meeting of the Technical Working Group (TWG) of the Brazil-China Cooperation Fund for the Expansion of Production Capacity was held, with the purpose of preliminary analysis of projects. Based on current information, a positive consensus among the Chinese TWG and the Brazilian TWG members was reached. The 3rd Regular Meeting decision may represent a total investment worth USD 4 billion in infrastructure, if potential financiers approve it, after their economic and financial appraisal.

O próximo passo é a análise em maior detalhe pelas instituições financeiras de ambos os lados. Depois que os projetos alcançarem a aprovação de um financiador brasileiro e um chinês, o GTT realizará outra reunião para classificação e, eventualmente, para proposta de aprovação ao Comitê Diretivo do Fundo, para uma decisão final.

The next step is the analysis in greater detail by the financial institutions of both sides. After the projects reach the approval by a Brazilian and a Chinese financiers, the TWG will hold another meeting to make a final classification and eventually propose their approval to the Steering Committee of the Fund, for a final decision.
